Little Kitty Big City was the first title I contributed to as an environment artist, and will forever hold a special place in my heart for that very reason. I learned a lot during my time working on the team, and working in a very unique low-poly style was a great opportunity to learn about optimizing an asset's silhouette, especially when it came to making large buildings.
For this title, I was responsible for a number of buildings across the urban map, utilizing a pre-existing library of assets to put new buildings together while also contributing further to said library. I also created a number of architecture-specific props (pipes, vents, electrical boxes, lanterns, etc.) to be used across the map or in the use of creating other buildings. Most assets were textured through one master material, through there were a few instances where I used Substance Designer to create simple tiled walls.
A big shout out to Kane Tyler Garett, who made a majority of the asset & environment art kit library for this project, and mentored me during my time working with Double Dagger, and who made an awesome lead environment artist. Another big shout out to Matt T. Wood for having me on the project, and coming up with such a purrrfect game!
